Measuring is one of those seemingly “technical” steps in sewing – you need numbers, tape, precision.
But I believe how you measure makes a huge difference.
Not just for the pattern – but for your relationship with yourself.
Because often, we don’t just take measurements.
We take measure of ourselves.
We judge. Compare. Flinch at numbers that don’t feel “ideal.”
But the measuring tape only tells you one thing: your current reality. And that is not wrong – it’s just true.
✨ Gentle reminder:
When you measure, slow down. Use your other hand to feel.
Notice your breath. And ask yourself:
Are you truly measuring – or are you evaluating?
Both look the same from the outside.
But inside, the difference is everything.
👉 When was the last time you measured your body – and how did it feel?
Maybe today is the day to look again, with softer eyes.
