Vestis Pattern System

The Vestis Pattern System is a historically modern pattern-cutting method developed by me.
It combines the constructive logic of historical flat-cut techniques with the requirements of modern fit.

At its core lies measurement-based construction.
Instead of working with standard sizing, the pattern is developed from the individual proportions of the body.

The foundation of the method is the Vestis Basic Block System.
It forms the constructive base from which further garment forms can evolve — such as blouses, dresses, skirts, trousers, coats, or waistcoats.

The Vestis Pattern System follows clear principles:

Construction instead of pre-made patterns
Measurement instead of standard sizing
Structure instead of coincidence
Comprehensibility instead of pure intuition

The goal is not only to execute patterns, but to understand them and develop them independently.

The system is modular in structure.
Each element — from the basic block to the development of necklines, sleeves, or volume — follows a traceable logic.

In this way, garment cutting becomes a structured process.
