My Principles

My work is based on two components that can be approached either together or independently.

1. The Technical Level

The first level is the craft itself.
It focuses on the precise learning of sewing, construction, and measurement-based work.

For me, garment cutting is not intuitive trial and error, but a traceable process of construction.
Proportion, structure, and system form the foundation.
Those who master the craft gain confidence, clarity, and freedom in shaping form.

This level stands on its own.
It can be learned and applied independently of all further themes.

2. The Level of Self-Expression

The second component concerns expression.
When we begin to understand ourselves more clearly, the way we create also changes.

I am convinced that each person should find their individual expression in order to act authentically in the world.
This process can unfold through different approaches — such as psychological reflection or spiritual perspectives.

For me, the strength lies in the conscious interplay of both.
Spirituality without critical thinking can be as one-sided as psychology without intuition.

Sewing can become a method that makes inner themes visible.
Form, material, and construction often reflect more than outward design.

From this idea, Arkana emerged.
It connects craft processes with broader dimensions of experience — such as self-image, emotions, or fundamental tensions that shape human life.

Arkana is conceived as a tool.
It can help bring unconscious themes to the surface, reflect on them, and integrate them consciously into one’s own life.
